Frequently Asked Questions

1. How do I use the Deprecation Timeline?

Open the page to see a dashboard of upcoming retirements and deprecations sorted by urgency. Click any stat card (Critical, Warning, Watch) to filter, or use the Timeline view to see items grouped by month with countdown timers.

2. What do the urgency levels mean?

Critical (red) means less than 30 days until the deadline, Warning (orange) is 30-90 days, Watch (yellow) is 90-180 days, and Future (green) is more than 180 days away. Action-required items are automatically bumped up one urgency level.

3. Can I find out if a specific Microsoft service is being retired?

Yes. Use the search bar to look up any service name, Message Center ID, or keyword. You can also filter by category (Teams, Exchange, SharePoint, etc.) and toggle the Action Required filter to see only items that need your attention.

4. Is my data private when using the Deprecation Timeline?

Yes. The deprecation data is pre-fetched by our pipeline and served as static files. Your searches, filters, and views all run in your browser with no personal data collected.

5. Is this tool still being improved?

Yes! This is a V1 release and we're actively improving it based on user feedback. If you have suggestions, find a bug, or want a new feature, please visit our Community Feedback page at aguidetocloud.com/feedback/ — every piece of feedback is read and acted on.
