About the ServiceNow CIS-SPM Exam
ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist - Strategic Portfolio Management (CIS-SPM) covers the work of planning and funding work in ServiceNow: capturing ideas and demands, planning resources, tracking cost and benefit, running projects and timecards, and steering the portfolio from the Portfolio Planning Workspace.
This independent practice bank contains 250 original questions aligned to mainline blueprint KB0011561 v10.0, updated January 2026. Product behaviour is grounded in ServiceNow’s public documentation for the Australia release. Australia identifies the documentation snapshot, not an exam version.
The questions are original study material, not an official ServiceNow practice exam, an exam dump or a reproduction of vendor sample questions. ServiceNow asks candidates to use its official preparation resources; check the official CIS-SPM blueprint alongside this guide.
Who Should Take This Exam?
CIS-SPM is for people who implement and configure ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management: setting up resource plans and allocations, configuring cost and benefit plans, running idea and demand intake, managing projects and time reporting, and working with the Portfolio Planning Workspace and SPM analytics.
The current registration information does not require course completion. ServiceNow recommends relevant training and field experience with Strategic Portfolio Management deployments. Check the current registration requirements before booking.

Exam Domains & Weights
The official blueprint lists nine domains weighted 2/10/23/18/30/5/8/2/2. This bank consolidates them into the six authoring domains below: Timecard Management is grouped with Project Management, SPM Platform Analytics and Dashboards is grouped with the Portfolio Planning Workspace, and SPM Better Together is grouped with SPM Implementation Overview.
Use ServiceNow’s official nine-domain weights to plan revision. The practice counts below are an editorial allocation, not a prediction of the questions on an exam.
| Domain | Official weight | Practice questions |
|---|---|---|
| SPM Implementation Overview and Better Together | 4% | 24 |
| SPM Financials | 10% | 25 |
| Resource Management | 23% | 56 |
| Idea and Demand | 18% | 44 |
| Project Management and Timecard Management | 35% | 76 |
| Portfolio Planning Workspace and SPM Analytics | 10% | 25 |
| Total | 100% | 250 |
SPM Implementation Overview is raised from its proportional 10 questions to a 24-question floor so the domain is practisable at all. Project Management and Timecard Management is reduced from 87 to 76 to pay for it. Both directions of this deviation are deliberate. The blueprint’s listed subtopics are not exhaustive.

Study Tips
- Start with Project Management and Resource Management, which together account for 58% of the published blueprint once Timecard Management is included.
- Follow the money through one worked path: idea, demand, cost plan, benefit plan, then the project that delivers it.
- Keep resource plans, allocations and confirmations distinct; they are separate records with separate states, and the exam tests the difference.
- Learn which time reporting setting produces which time cards, and what each setting removes from the Time Sheet Portal.
- Treat the Portfolio Planning Workspace as a decision surface over the same data rather than a separate store, and check the documentation linked from each explanation before booking.
