About the ServiceNow CIS-EM Exam
ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist - Event Management (CIS-EM) covers the work of turning monitoring events into useful alerts, relating them to services, and configuring a response.
This independent practice bank contains 250 original questions aligned to mainline blueprint KB0011604 v8.0, updated January 2026. Product behaviour is grounded in ServiceNow’s public documentation for the Australia release. Australia identifies the documentation snapshot, not an exam version.
The questions are original study material, not an official ServiceNow practice exam, an exam dump or a reproduction of vendor sample questions. ServiceNow asks candidates to use its official preparation resources; check the official CIS-EM blueprint alongside this guide.
Who Should Take This Exam?
CIS-EM is for people who implement and configure ServiceNow Event Management: connecting monitoring sources, configuring event rules, managing alerts and tasks, understanding service impact, and working with Metric Intelligence.
The current registration information does not require course completion. ServiceNow recommends relevant training, six months of field experience and participation in at least two Event Management deployments. Check the current registration requirements before booking.

Exam Domains & Weights
Use ServiceNow’s official weights to plan revision. The practice counts below are an editorial allocation, not a prediction of the questions on an exam.
| Domain | Official weight | Practice questions |
|---|---|---|
| Event Management Overview | 7% | 22 |
| Architecture and Discovery | 10% | 25 |
| Event Configuration and Use | 27% | 68 |
| Alerts and Tasks | 30% | 70 |
| Event Sources | 16% | 40 |
| Metric Intelligence | 10% | 25 |
| Total | 100% | 250 |
Overview has a 22-question practice floor rather than its proportional 17.5 questions. Alerts and Tasks is reduced from 75 to 70, with rounding in Event Configuration and Use, to keep the bank at 250. Both directions of this deviation are deliberate. The blueprint’s listed subtopics are not exhaustive.

Study Tips
- Start with Alerts and Tasks and Event Configuration and Use, which together account for 57% of the published blueprint.
- Follow the processing stages: receiving an event, applying rules, creating or updating an alert, and taking action.
- Distinguish monitoring-source configuration from MID Server architecture and discovery.
- Review service impact and Metric Intelligence as separate capabilities rather than treating every group or score as the same mechanism.
- Check the documentation linked from each explanation and return to the official blueprint before booking.
