Exam Domains & Weights

The Salesforce Certified Agentforce Field Service and Operations Consultant exam covers 8 domains. Focus your study time based on the weights below — higher-weighted domains have more exam questions.

DomainWeightPractice Qs
Managing Resources16%33
Managing Work Orders23%48
Managing Scheduling and Optimization28%57
Configuring Mobility10%24
Managing Inventory8%22
Managing Assets5%22
Configuring Maintenance Plans5%22
Permissions and Sharing5%22
Total100%250

💡 Study tip: Managing Scheduling and Optimization carries the most weight at 28% — together with Managing Work Orders (23%) that is over half the exam, and the two are really one subject, because scheduling operates on the work order and work order line item model. Three domains tie for the lightest at 5% each — Managing Assets, Configuring Maintenance Plans, and Permissions and Sharing — so there is no single domain safe to skip; maintenance plans in particular generate the work orders that everything else then schedules.

Salesforce Field Service Certification Path

The Salesforce Certified Agentforce Field Service and Operations Consultant sits deeper in the Salesforce stack than most credentials, because it is one of the few with hard prerequisites: you need both the Salesforce Certified Platform Administrator and the Salesforce Certified Agentforce Service Consultant before you can sit it. That ordering is the path. Platform Administrator establishes the org, the data model, sharing and Flow; the Agentforce Service Consultant credential establishes the service side — cases, channels and the service console; and this exam then adds the field dimension on top of both: resources, crews and territories, work orders and line items, the scheduling and optimization engines, the mobile app a technician actually uses offline, and the inventory, assets and maintenance plans that keep the work coming. The product was renamed from Field Service to Agentforce Field Service and Operations, so expect the newer wording in the official guide.

Frequently asked questions

The questions consultants usually ask before booking the Agentforce Field Service and Operations Consultant exam.

What does the Agentforce Field Service and Operations Consultant exam cover? #

Eight sections, and the weights are Salesforce’s own. Managing Scheduling and Optimization is the heaviest at 28% — the service appointment lifecycle, schedule policies, work rules and service objectives, complex and multi-day work, aerial versus street-level routing, dispatch strategy and the Dispatcher Console, and when to reach for the optimization service instead of the scheduling service. Managing Work Orders follows at 23%, covering work types, work order line items, resource preferences, products required, milestones, and how service appointments relate to work orders and line items. Managing Resources is 16% — service resources and crews, service territories and territory members, skills and skill levels, operating hours, time sheets, and the Field Service licence types. Configuring Mobility is 10%, Managing Inventory 8%, and Managing Assets, Configuring Maintenance Plans and Permissions and Sharing are 5% each.

Does this exam have an exam code like AZ-104? #

No. Salesforce identifies this credential by name rather than by an alphanumeric exam code, so there is no official code to quote. If a study site presents one, treat that as a sign it is working from a stale or invented source — check the credential name against Salesforce’s own page instead.

Was this credential renamed? #

Yes. It was previously the Salesforce Certified Field Service Consultant, and the product itself is now Agentforce Field Service and Operations rather than Field Service. Salesforce’s own help documentation carries the new product name while noting the former one in brackets, so material published under the old name is still relevant — but expect the newer Agentforce wording on the exam and in the official guide.

Do I need other certifications first? #

Yes, and this is unusual — most Salesforce credentials have no hard prerequisite, but this one has two. You need both the Salesforce Certified Platform Administrator and the Salesforce Certified Agentforce Service Consultant credentials before you can take it. Plan for that ordering, because it means this exam sits at least two certifications deep rather than being a standalone entry point.

How long is the exam and what score do I need? #

105 minutes for 60 multiple-choice and multiple-select questions, plus up to five unscored questions that do not count toward your result. The passing score is 63%. It is delivered proctored, either onsite at a testing centre or online, and costs $200 USD with a $100 USD retake fee.

Which domain should I study first? #

Start with Managing Scheduling and Optimization. At 28% it is the single heaviest section, and it is also the one that most rewards understanding over recall — the recurring question is not what a schedule policy is but which combination of work rules and service objectives produces the behaviour the business asked for, and when optimization is the right tool rather than manual dispatch. Managing Work Orders at 23% is the natural second, because the work order and work order line item model is what scheduling actually operates on.
