The Google Cloud Professional Security Operations Engineer (PSOE) validates the person who runs a modern security operations center on Google Cloud. It is a hands-on, operations-focused certification: you onboard telemetry, normalize logs to the Unified Data Model (UDM), write YARA-L 2.0 detection rules, tune Google-authored curated detections, hunt across the environment with UDM search and retrohunt, drive Applied Threat Intelligence IOC matching, build SOAR playbooks, run the case-management lifecycle, and monitor the health of the whole pipeline — all on Google Security Operations (Google SecOps), backed by Google Threat Intelligence and Security Command Center.

This certification is built for SOC analysts, detection engineers, threat hunters, incident responders, and security operations engineers who work in Google Security Operations day to day. Google recommends around 3+ years of industry experience, including 1+ year working with Google Cloud and hands-on time in Google SecOps.
